If you would like to light a bonfire in the city or municipal area, for example to maintain customs or as a bonfire, you usually have to apply to the local police authority (public order office).
Cooking fires and barbecues up to a certain size may often be operated without a permit. Please ensure that third parties are not disturbed by smoke or odours.
Attention! If the planned fireplace is less than 100 metres from the edge of the forest, you must obtain permission from the lower forestry authority.
Check the local police regulations to find out under what circumstances you are allowed to burn a bonfire. For more information, please contact your local town or municipal administration.
Making an application
Submit a written application to the relevant authority or visit the application centre in person. Some towns and municipalities provide application forms or offer an online service (also available in Amt24).
the authority requires at least the following information for your application
