With the funding program "Continuation of club work", the state of Hesse supports Hessian sports clubs and associations with special financial burdens, such as maintenance measures for their own sports facilities or the procurement of durable sports and maintenance equipment.
The Hessian state government's sports promotion policy starts with the smallest units: the clubs. Clubs are of central importance for our community life. To support Hessian sports clubs and their associations and their mostly voluntary work, the Hessian Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Sport, Health and Care offers assistance in the form of the "Continuation of club work" funding program to provide state funds for the continued work of clubs as quickly and unbureaucratically as possible.
If there is evidence of a particular financial burden - in particular due to expenses for the purchase of durable sports or care equipment, maintenance and repair measures - Hessian sports clubs as members of the State Sports Association of Hesse and sports associations can be granted a grant to continue the work of the club or association. As a rule, measures with a financial burden of up to € 35,000 are eligible. The "Sportland Hessen" and "Vereinseigener Sportstättenbau" funding programs are available for construction measures of over €35,000.
The grant is awarded as project funding by way of fixed-amount financing. Depending on the total costs and the financial burden on the club, grants of up to €10,000 are awarded. The project funding granted can amount to up to 30% of the expenditure recognized as eligible for funding. The regionally responsible sports offices of the clubs and the State Sports Association of Hesse will be informed of any funding.
