You must immediately report any changes, loss and retrieval of the card to the identity card authority.
The data in the identity card must always be up-to-date, otherwise the ID card will be invalid. Exception: Address and size
You are therefore obliged to report any changes or the loss and retrieval of the ID card immediately to the identity card authority.
If the issuance of a new identity card is required, the fees are based on § 1 of the Ordinance on Identity Card Fees (PAuswGebV). The change of address on the identity card is free of charge according to § 1 Abs. 5 Personalausweisgebührenverordnung (PAuswGebV).
