You can apply for a category L driving licence.
The category L driving licence is the ''small tractor licence''. With it, you can already carry out agricultural or forestry work at the age of 16, but only with a maximum speed of 40 km/h and with trailer a maximum of 25 km/h.
The category T driving licence is issued for an unlimited period.

- You must have your main residence in the Federal Republic of Germany

The driving licence authority charges in accordance with the scale of charges for road traffic measures.
You must submit an application for a category L driving licence to the driving licence authority responsible for you.
The processing time depends on the workload of the respective driving licence authority.
The application for the first issue of a driving licence shall lapse if the theory test has not been passed within twelve months of receipt of the test order or the practical test has not been passed within twelve months of passing the theory test.

- agricultural or forestry tractors with a maximum structural speed not exceeding 40 km/h, and
- combinations of such vehicles and trailers when driven at a maximum speed of 25 km/h, and
- self-propelled machinery, feed mixers, forklifts and other industrial trucks each with a maximum structural speed of 25 km/h, and
