If you want to modernize your existing residential building energetically, you can have an "Energy Pass Hessen" issued by the Hessian Energy Saving Campaign, which explains the possible measures with a cost estimate.

If you are striving for a comprehensive energy-efficient modernization, it is advisable to take advantage of the federal program "Energy saving advice on site", which is administered by the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control.

The consumer advice centres are also advising on ways to save money.
