Open all-day school in the primary sector:

The funding program is aimed at the school authorities of the "open all-day school" in the primary sector and, in addition to the scheduled lessons, enables offers outside of school hours on school days, on days when there are no lessons and, if necessary, during the vacations. In cooperation with a wide range of partners, in particular from child and youth welfare, sport and culture, the open all-day school aims to provide better support for all children in order to fulfill the educational, upbringing and care mandate. The open all-day school provides pupils with support for independence and personal responsibility and supports parents in their educational work.

Funding is provided for the number of all-day places occupied on October 15 of the school year. Funding is provided as fixed-amount funding. The funding rates per all-day place are increased each year on August 1st for the coming school year.

Money or a job:

With the "Geld oder Stelle" program, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia provides schools with teaching position shares and/or cash funds for educational support and supervision during the lunch break for all pupils at secondary level I with afternoon lessons as well as for supplementary work groups, exercise, cultural and support activities as part of all-day and childcare services.

The school authorities are provided with a lump sum based on the previous year's general school data for personnel expenses when the teaching positions are capitalized.

The funding is provided as fixed-amount funding. The funding rates per full-day place are increased each year on August 1st for the coming school year.

Open all-day school in the primary sector:

The submission of an approved all-day concept by the school, the decision of the school conference, the decision of the council in the case of municipal school authorities, the social grading of parental contributions and the financing of the school authority's own contribution are basic prerequisites.

• The applications are checked. The funding is then registered with the MSB.
• As soon as the funding is available, the approval notices are sent out and the funds are paid out by the deadline of September 1st.
• The school authorities report the number of pupils by the deadline of 15.10.
• After checking the reported pupil numbers, a change notice is issued if necessary.
• The funding for the second half of the school year is paid on 01.03.

• All-day school support
• Depending on the school level (primary or lower secondary level), there are different offers for all-day care.
• Depending on the funding program, the application deadline is 31.03. or 31.12. of the calendar year.

• Responsible: NRW district governments (the responsible district government is the one in whose district the school is located).
