You would like to make your property accessible from the road, for example for a parking space. You need the approval of the responsible authority to create a footpath crossing.

The sidewalk crossing, also known as a property access or kerb lowering, is used to provide easy access to a property from the road for vehicles.

If, for example, you want to build a parking space and the kerb needs to be lowered for this, you need a pavement crossing.

Driveways to properties require a different structure or paving than the sidewalk and must be approved by the responsible authority.

As a rule, work on public roads is commissioned by the city. In exceptional cases, you as the applicant may commission the work yourself from an approved specialist company. This means that the company must be registered with a Chamber of Crafts.

Make sure that the sidewalk is level and visually continuous so that people with disabilities do not have to overcome any obstacles. There should also be no interruptions.

You must bear all costs for the construction of the footpath crossing yourself. If the footpath crossing is no longer required, the costs of restoring it to its original condition must also be borne.
