§ Section 20 Building Chamber Act NRW (BauKaG NRW)
§§ 4-11 Building Chamber Implementation Ordinance (BauKaG NRW)
After registration in the lists of the Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia, you are entitled to use the professional title protected by the Building Chamber Act NRW.
Applicants are entered in the list of town planners if the legal requirements for registration have been met.
Only persons entered in this list may use the corresponding professional title.
- Certificates and diplomas from higher education (Bachelor's and Master's degrees, diploma).
- Detailed proof of at least 2 years of full-time work as an urban planner
- Proof of participation in the further training measures required for registration
- Proof of a place of business, main residence or place of employment
- Two urban development plans
- a place of business, main residence or place of employment in NRW
- successful completion of a degree in urban planning with a standard period of study of at least four years
- subsequent practical experience of at least two years,
- participation in recognized further training seminars (112 hours in total)
Applications are pre-checked at the office, documents are requested if necessary and submitted to the registration committee. This committee decides on the registration.
In the case of university degrees obtained abroad, an expert opinion on the comparability of foreign educational qualifications must first be obtained.
