If you want to install a new or significantly change a heating oil consumer system or emergency power system, this may be subject to notification. Please find out here what you need to observe.
If you erect or substantially modify a heating oil consumer installation that is subject to inspection, you must notify us in writing before you start erecting or substantially modifying the installation.
Heating oil consumer installations are installations for the storage and use of heating oil. Emergency power plants are to be treated like heating oil consumer plants.
The lower water authority checks whether you can construct the heating oil consumer facility as planned.
In the following cases, you do not have to submit a separate notification:
- an official approval procedure is carried out for the heating oil consumer system
-
a determination of suitability under water law is carried out for the heating oil consumer installation
- Fully completed notification form for heating oil consumer installations
- Site plan (location)
- construction drawings with location, construction type and volume of the tanks
- building inspection certificates for tanks, safety devices and other construction products used
- any expert reports
Many lower water authorities offer you a form for the notification. Send the completed form to the lower water authority by mail or deliver it in person.
The lower water authority checks your notification for completeness. In addition, the authority checks for compliance with the requirements of the "Ordinance on Installations for Handling Substances Hazardous to Water" (AwSV). If documents are missing, you will be requested to submit them.
As a rule, you will receive a confirmation of notification or a notice with conditions. You will also receive a fee notice for processing the notification.
Your application data will be stored at the lower water authority.
The notification of the heating oil installation must be made 6 weeks before the start of construction.
