Do you want to operate a restaurant temporarily for a special reason? Then you must notify us in writing.
If you wish to operate a catering business in a standing business for a special reason and only temporarily, you must notify us in writing in good time.
You must state the duration and the special occasion in the notification.
A special occasion exists if
- the catering activity is linked to a short-term event,
- event that does not occur frequently,
- that lies outside the catering activity itself.
These are, for example
- Village festivals
- shooting festivals
- sporting events
- concerts
- markets
You must also state in your advertisement what food you are offering and whether you intend to offer alcoholic beverages.
If there are any changes to your details in the notification, you must notify us immediately in writing.
You do not need to submit a notification if you have a traveling trade license for the operation of the catering business to be notified.

You submit your report to the responsible office.
The responsible office forwards the information immediately to
- the competent building supervisory authority
- the body responsible for food monitoring
- immission control,
- health protection and
- the protection of minors
- the tax office
- the customs administration.
If the information and documents are complete, the application will be processed promptly.
If there are any changes to your details in the notification, you must notify us immediately in writing.
You must submit a trade notification in accordance with Section 14 of the Trade Regulation Act and the Trade Notification Ordinance.
- Notify temporary operation of a restaurant business.
- As soon as alcoholic beverages are to be served in a restaurant, a background check is carried out.
- Anyone who serves drinks or food for consumption in their establishment on a commercial basis is operating a restaurant business.

The responsibility lies with the trade office of the municipality or district-free city.
