Dental prophylaxis measures in adults include:

• the removal of hard plaque and caries or irritant factors that can cause gingivitis.

For insured persons over 18 years of age, one preventive examination per year is provided. Some health insurance companies offer different services.

Measures that exceed sufficient, appropriate and economic care must be paid by the insured persons themselves.

You can appeal against the decision of the health insurance company. If the objection is not remedied, you can file a complaint with the competent social court.
