Benefits of the care fund for people with disabilities in inpatient facilities or special forms of housing.

If you live as a person with a disability (care level 2 to 5) in a fully inpatient facility where

• participation in working life,
• in education
• social participation,
• school education, or
• the education of people with disabilities

are in the foreground?

Then the nursing care fund covers 15 percent of the costs.  

The expenses of the nursing care fund may not exceed 266 euros per calendar month in individual cases.

This also applies to special forms of housing (several people with disabilities together in a dormitory/residential group). In doing so,

• the focus is on shared living and integration into society,
• the Housing and Care Act apply,
• the scope of care largely corresponds to the care in a fully inpatient facility.

If you claim a pro rata care allowance for the days on which you are cared for and cared for at home, the days of arrival and departure are considered full days of home care.

Ask your nursing care fund which documents are required and whether there is a special application form.

• People in need of care are accommodated in a fully inpatient facility for people with disabilities

or

• living in a special living environment

• applies only to people in need of care with care levels 2 to 5

The application is free of charge.

The benefit must be applied for in writing to the nursing care fund

The processing time of the application depends on different conditions.

For people with disabilities who

• live in a fully inpatient facility where

- participation in working life,

- participation in education

- social participation

- the focus is on school education or education,

or

- in a special form of housing (dormitory/residential group for persons with disabilities), in which

- the purpose of housing, and

- integration into society

in the foreground,

the nursing care fund pays 15 percent of the agreed remuneration, but not more than 266 euros per month.
