You have applied for assistance for your child and no longer need it? Then you can end the conservatorship at the local youth welfare office.
A conservatorship is a special form of legal representation of children and adolescents. If you want to have paternity determined or claim maintenance, the Youth Welfare Office can legally represent the child in the appropriate proceedings and thus relieve you. If you no longer need the assistance, you can terminate the conservatorship at the local youth welfare office in whole or in part.
The conservatorship ends automatically when the legal requirements are no longer met. This is the case, for example, if
- both parents have assumed joint custody,
- the child is of legal age,
- you are moving abroad with your child, or
- the conservatorship has fulfilled its purpose, for example if paternity has been established.
- Your child receives assistance from the Youth Welfare Office.
- You have custody and have applied for assistance.
The conservatorship ends as soon as you inform the Youth Welfare Office in writing.
