If you wish to carry out a fumigation activity, you must notify the competent authority.

Anyone who wishes to carry out fumigation with fumigants on a commercial or independent basis within the framework of other economic undertakings outside a fixed installation must notify the competent authority in writing. In addition, a collection notification can be agreed to if fumigations are repeated regularly and the conditions described in the notification remain unchanged.

• Site plan of the place or the object to be fumigated

Fumigation may only be carried out if its use is not expected to have harmful effects on the health of humans, non-target organisms or the environment in the individual application.

Fees may apply for shortening of deadlines or requests for collective notifications.

You can report a fumigation activity to the competent authority by e-mail or post.

• You submit the required documents with your notification.
• The competent authority will check your notification for completeness.

• Shortly after receipt of application
• Maximum one week

• One week before planned fumigation activity
• An exception applies to fumigation activities on ships and in containers in ports. For this purpose, the application must be submitted 24 hours before the start of the activity.

If your application is rejected, the competent authority will send you a notice explaining how to appeal.
