Any use of public traffic areas that exceeds or restricts public use constitutes a special use. It requires the permission of the road construction authority and is subject to a fee. Applications, e.g. for construction work, containers, scaffolding and material storage, are processed by the two responsible authorities.
The permit is issued to the applicant in the form of a decision and can be subject to conditions, requirements and time limits. It is at the discretion of the authority whether and with which ancillary conditions the permit is granted.
If possible, contact the special use team first. They will forward the process if necessary.
The completed application for "Special use / measure-related consultation of the public works authority" with details of the location, type and duration of the special use as well as the size of the required areas, a true-to-scale site plan (1:500) and, if applicable, permission to break up the public traffic area or route approval are required.
The fees result from the special use in accordance with the special use statutes and special use fee statutes.
Fees are charged for the closure in accordance with the schedule of fees for road traffic measures (Geb.OSt).
The special use must be applied for in good time at least 14 days before the start of the measure. The special use permit is issued for a limited or revocable period and may also contain conditions and requirements.
