If you, as the client, wish to use a building that does not require a permit, you must report this.
Your building is not exempt from procedures if it either requires planning permission or is exempt from approval.
- Notification of the utilization (digital or written)
- For buildings in building class 4: confirmation that the construction complies with the fire protection certificate. This does not apply to special buildings or medium-sized and large garages.
Check whether a notification of commencement of use is required for your building.
If a notification of commencement of use is required:
- Compile the necessary information and evidence.
- Submit the notification to the responsible lower building supervisory authority.
If you do not report the commencement of use, do not report it on time or do not provide the required documents, this may be an administrative offense.
In special cases, you will need a certificate from the building inspectorate for technical installations.
