If you wish to use a fishing vessel for eel fishing, you must register this with the competent authority.

If you wish to use a fishing vessel for eel fishing, you must register the vessel with the higher fisheries authority.

If your fishing vessel is registered in the European Community fishing fleet register or has an official marking, this must be indicated at the time of registration.

In the case of other fishing vessels (unregistered inland fishing vessels), the following information shall be required at the time of registration:

1. Design
2. Length according to own measurement
3. Motorization in terms of engine type and
4. Registration number of the vehicle issued in accordance with other legislation, which must be carried on the vehicle

Your registration number must be visible on the fishing vessel.

• Before commencing the eel fishery, they shall notify the fishing vessel to the competent authority.
• You fill out the form in writing and send it by e-mail or post.
• Your registered eel fishing vessel will then be added to the fisheries register.

Before the start of the eel fishery

If you abandon the eel fishery or purchase a new fishing vessel, you must immediately report this to the higher fisheries authority. If the vessel is no longer used for commercial eel fishing, it shall be deleted from the register by the higher fisheries authority.
