You can have the fixing of a trade fair, exhibition or market canceled.

As an organizer, you can apply for the cancellation of your already scheduled trade fairs, exhibitions or markets.

The suspension of the fixing for weekly markets, annual markets or public festivals only takes place if it is unreasonable for you to hold the event.

In the case of trade fairs, exhibitions or wholesale markets, it is also sufficient to notify us that the event will not be held or will no longer be held.

Please provide the following information in your informal application:

• Details of the organizer
• Name of the event
• Address of the event
• Reasons for the suspension

• The event has already been scheduled by the competent authority.
• The event is one of the following types of event:
  • Trade fair
  • exhibition
  • wholesale market
  • weekly market
  • Specialty market
  • Fair
• You can only have the establishment of a weekly or annual market or a public festival revoked if you cannot reasonably be expected to hold it.

Costs are incurred. The amount of the costs depends on the type of event and the costs for fixing. The costs for the suspension amount to 20% of the costs for the determination. As a rule, the costs are between 20.00 euros and 300.00 euros.

• You submit an application to cancel the suspension of an event together with all the necessary documents by post or e-mail to the competent body.
• The competent authority will check your documents. If necessary, it will request further documents or information from you.
• The competent body will decide on your application.
• You will receive a decision.
• You will receive a notification of fees.
• You pay the fees.

The processing time depends on the individual case.
