If you wish to obtain a replacement certificate for a firearms possession card for high-risk public officials to carry firearms, you must submit an application to the competent authority.

Persons who are particularly at risk due to their important duties for the federal government or a federal state receive a special certificate instead of a weapons possession card or a weapons license. This law does not apply to employees of other states who are equipped with weapons for official purposes and are acting within the framework of an international agreement or at the request of a competent German authority. Unless the agreement or consent stipulates otherwise, they shall be exempt from this Act.

• Proof of physical fitness and personal suitability

• Replacement certificates may only be issued if there is a need for them.
• Replacement certificates may only be issued for one weapon.

• You submit the required documents.
