Do you have additional costs due to your deafness? Find out here about your entitlement to deafness benefit.
If you are deaf, you can be granted deafness benefit. It is intended to compensate for your additional costs due to your disability.
The deaf allowance in Saxony-Anhalt is 66.50 euros (from 01.07.2025). The deaf allowance is paid out monthly in this amount.

You receive deafness benefit if you
- have been deaf or nearly deaf from birth or since the age of 7
and
- have a degree of disability (GdB) of 100 due to an associated severe speech impairment.
This also applies if the deafness only developed later in life - provided the speech impairment is also so severe that a degree of disability of 100 has been determined.
The deaf allowance will be paid to you from the month in which the requirements are met and your application has been submitted to the State Administration Office.
