There are autonomous and independent expert committees in the Free State of Saxony to determine property values. Their task is to ensure transparency on the property market. To this end, they keep a collection of purchase prices, analyse them and determine standard land values as well as other data required for the valuation.

The person making the request must credibly demonstrate a legitimate interest in knowing the data.

• The information is limited to information for which there is a legitimate interest. For example, if the purpose of the information is to determine the market value of a specific property, purchase prices may only be disclosed to the extent that they can be considered as comparative prices.
• The information must not conflict with any overriding legitimate interests of the data subject.
• Appropriate use of the data must be guaranteed. The data provided in the context of the information may only be used for the purpose for which it was provided.
• Disclosure to third parties is not permitted.

• Submit a written application to the office of the expert committee (see "Responsible department"). If a special application form is available, please use it.
• The information is issued on a property-related basis, whereby the name and address of the owner or other authorised persons may not be disclosed.
