A sporting event, water festival or other event that may affect the safety and ease of traffic requires the permission of the competent authority, for Saxon state waters the State Directorate of Saxony.

If applicable, map section, sketches, overviews and the like

according to the administrative expenses

Apply for the water sports event informally in writing to the Saxony State Directorate (->responsible department).

Your application must include

• the exact address of the organiser
• a detailed description of the type and scope of the event
• the estimated number of participants in the event
• the date, start and end of the event (time of the individual breaks during the event)
• a precise description of the event room, the event area and the distance from the shore
• the address of the person responsible for the event (with mobile phone number)
• the type and number of safety and rescue personnel planned

Submit the signed application letter by post (together with any necessary documents).

Notes:

• If special barriers or lane markings using buoys are planned, you must describe these in more detail (sketch, map section).
• If you are planning a navigation closure for the event, keep it as brief as possible and give detailed reasons for the requirement. Navigation closures can only be authorised for water sports events in exceptional cases. There is a charge for the implementation of the navigation closure.

• Application: at least 6 weeks before the event

Note: If the event is postponed or an authorised event is cancelled, you must inform the shipping authority immediately.
