State recognition as a further training institution for health care professions is a prerequisite for the following activities:
- Conducting further training in the health care professions regulated by Land law
- Issuing certificates entitling the holder to use a continuing education title within the meaning of the Continuing Education Ordinance for Health Professions (e.g. "Specialist Nursing Expert for the Surgical Service")

You can use the services of the Single Point of Contact for this procedure. This person will guide you through the procedure, take care of the correspondence with all the offices responsible for your request and will be available to you as a competent advisor.
In addition to the completed and signed application form in paper form:

- Proof of the professional qualification of the school management (officially certified copy or duplicate in the original)
- Agreements with the facilities according to Annex 3 in copy
- Copy of the rental agreement as per Annex 4
Applications for recognition can be submitted by public, non-profit and private institutions.
An institution is recognised as suitable for continuing education if it is
- is run by a suitable person
- has professionally suitable teaching staff,
- has contractually ensured the provision of practical continuing education with suitable institutions that guarantee professional guidance,
- has classrooms and sufficient teaching and learning materials, and
- conducts the continuing education in accordance with the Continuing Education Ordinance for Health Professions.
Apply for recognition electronically. To apply, you must use the forms provided for this purpose.
Attention! Online submission is currently only possible with Microsoft Internet Explorer IE up to version 11. Alternatively, please submit the form printouts without the application number.
- Complete the application form online.
- At the end of the form you will be asked to submit it. A confirmation page will then open, on which you can click on the "View form" button.
- The completed application form will now be displayed, and please make a note of the application number (at the top right of the application).
- You will need the application number to complete the four attachments, which you will then also send electronically.
- In addition to the electronic documents, submit further documents in paper form.
- If all requirements are met, the institution will be recognised as suitable for continuing education in the health professions. You will receive written notification of this.

The processing of the application usually takes a maximum of three months after receipt of the complete documents.
Proof of further training courses carried out
- After completion of each continuing education course, the state-recognised continuing education institutions must provide evidence to the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion that the continuing education courses have been carried out in accordance with the Continuing Education Ordinance for Health Professions.
- The Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion provides various forms for the notification on the portal gesunde.sachsen.de.
