Application for a grant under the State Guideline on Vocational Training
If you are an entrepreneur who trains young people, you can have parts of the practical vocational training carried out in other enterprises or institutions, so-called joint enterprises. Under certain conditions, you can receive funding for training in a network.
For which parts of the training are subsidies possible?
- Provision of training content in other companies or institutions to supplement your own in-company training (joint training)
What training content is not eligible for subsidies?
You will not receive subsidies for
- inter-company training courses that are conducted in accordance with the applicable ordinance on vocational training in the construction industry
- Vocational training relationships with regional or personal corporations under public law as well as with companies in which regional or personal corporations under public law hold the majority of the capital
- Funding for inter-company training courses in the skilled trades takes precedence over this funding.

Subsidy per training group week and participant: EUR 150.00 (A training group week is based on five training group days that do not have to be completed consecutively. However, only full participant weeks are funded. If no full participant weeks are completed, the funding is rounded down to the full participant week)

Eligible to apply
- Companies (natural or legal persons, associations of persons) with up to 500 employees with their registered office or branch in the Free State of Saxony which send trainees to the association partner within the framework of the training contract
Funding requirements
Funding is possible if
- the training relationships are in-company vocational training relationships
- the vocational training is carried out in recognised training occupations under the Vocational Training Act or the Crafts Code and the training course meets the requirements of section 1(3) of the Vocational Training Act (BBiG)
- the training contract is entered in the Chamber of Skilled Crafts' register of vocational training relationships at the time of application
The Chamber of Skilled Crafts must confirm that these requirements have been met.
As a first step, take advantage of the advisory services offered by the Sächsische Aufbaubank - Förderbank - (SAB). You can apply for funding online at the SAB funding portal
Application
- You fill out your application online, and an electronic assistant guides you through the process.
- Once you have completed the entry, the SAB will send you a confirmation e-mail containing your application and a summary of all the information you have entered.
- Please print out the application, sign it and submit it together with the required attachments to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) responsible for your company for forwarding to the SAB.
- After the SAB has examined the application, you will receive a decision as to whether and to what extent your project will be funded.
Payment
Before the lump sum is paid out, the attendance of the participants for the period of the collaborative training must be proven (confirmation by list of participants).
- Application: by 31.01. of the respective training year
- the training may already begin before the application is submitted (in relation to the coming or current training year)
- Submission of proof of use to the SAB: no later than one month after the end of the approval period
