Application for a grant for doctorates according to the ESF funding guideline "Higher Education and Research", PART II.A PROMOTIONS, No. 07471
Universities in the Free State of Saxony can apply for grants for overall projects to qualify young academics through research work in the context of doctorates.
The aim of the ESF project funding "Doctorates" is to exploit individual educational potential in order to strengthen the innovative power in the Free State of Saxony. Academic specialists are to gain improved entry opportunities into Saxony's science and economy through qualification within the framework of a doctorate.
Which doctorates are funded?
Industrial doctorates
Industrial doctorates are in the common interest of participating third parties based in the Free State of Saxony and Saxon universities. Funding for industrial doctorates requires co-financing by the participating third parties of at least 850.00 euros per relevant doctorate and month. The draft of a funding agreement between the third parties involved and the applicant, which includes a corresponding commitment by the third parties involved, must be submitted with the application.
Land innovation doctorates
In the case of Land innovation doctorates, research is conducted on topics that are of particular interest to the Free State of Saxony and are expected to have an impact on the Saxon labour market. For the funding of state innovation doctorates, the applicant must submit a justification of the special interest of the Free State of Saxony in the research topic and the expected effects on the Saxon labour market with the application.
Projects to reconcile family and academic career
(also in combination with one of the above)
Projects to reconcile family and academic career serve to continue doctoral studies after a family-related interruption in academic activity.
