You can obtain a stopping restriction in front of the house for a relocation in order to organise the transport as smoothly as possible for everyone involved. The responsible traffic authority will issue the stopping restriction upon application and will instruct how it is to be implemented and with which signposting.

The application should contain the following information:

• name and address of the applicant
• reason for the stopping restriction
• location of the stopping restriction
• area to be used
• duration of the restriction
• general plan or sketch
• traffic sign plan

Authorisation can be applied for if

• the removal vehicle cannot be loaded and unloaded in the required parking space on public roads without disrupting road traffic.

A permit must be applied for if

• the walkway is fully or partially impaired or blocked, for example by a furniture lift.

The charges depend on the extent of the restriction or the use of the road or walkway.

Note: Additional costs may be incurred for the use of the traffic signs required for the temporary stopping restriction.

• Apply for authorisation from the relevant road traffic or regulatory authority.
• If you have been granted permission, you must mark the no stopping zone for the duration of the parade with the traffic signs prescribed by the road traffic authority for other road users at least four days before the start of the relocation.

Note: Ask your local authority or city administration whether you can borrow the traffic signs from them.
