Notification of non-profit and commercial collections of household waste in accordance with § 18 of the Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Law (KrWG)

Non-profit and commercial collections of recyclable waste from private households must be notified to the Saxony Regional Directorate at least three months before the collection begins. Notification is required, for example, for street or container collections of textiles and shoes, but also purchase points for waste paper.

A detailed list of all required documents can be found in the application form, please coordinate details with the responsible authority.

Collection of waste from private households for commercial or non-profit purposes

Administrative fee: EUR 28.00 to 112.00 (only for commercial collection)

Notify the project to the Landesdirektion Sachsen, Referat 43, Dienststelle Chemnitz (–> Responsible authority) using the form provided.

• after receipt of your complete notification, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt; after expiry of the three-month waiting period, you may start collecting (no approval by the Landesdirektion required)
• the State Directorate informs the public waste management authority(ies) affected by the collections of the notified collection (hearing); the public waste management authority(ies) can submit a statement within two months.
• In addition, you are required by law to inform the Regional Directorate annually of the quantities of waste you collected from private households in the previous year. The list is provided by type of waste and district / independent city (Dresden, Leipzig, Chemnitz). - Form

• Notification: at the latest three months before the planned start
• Annual notification: in each case by 31.03. for the previous year
