Application for a grant for the provision of additional qualifications under the ESF Plus Guideline "Zukunft Berufliche Bildung", No. 02208

Does your company or training centre provide trainees in skilled crafts with additional qualifications that go beyond the content of the applicable training regulations? If so, you can receive a grant from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus) under certain conditions

The aim of the funding is to increase the vocational skills of trainees and thus their chances on the labour market.

Eligible applicants

• Training providers and companies that impart additional qualifications to trainees in skilled trades

Funding requirements

Funding is possible if

• the training relationships are in-company vocational training relationships
• the vocational training is carried out in recognised training occupations pursuant to the Crafts and Trades Code (Handwerksordnung)
• the training contract is entered in the Chamber of Skilled Crafts' register of vocational training contracts at the time the application is submitted

The content of the additional qualification must not be part of the applicable training regulations. However, it must have a factual connection with the training occupation.

The Chamber of Skilled Crafts must confirm that these requirements have been met.

In the first step, take advantage of the advisory services offered by the Sächsische Aufbaubank - Förderbank - (SAB). The application itself takes place electronically via the SAB funding portal and subsequent submission of the signed application documents by post.

• The promotional bank will check your application and inform you immediately.

Payment

In order for the lump sums to be paid out, you must provide the SAB with proof of the participants' attendance or the number of attendance hours per participant. You can obtain the documents for calling up the funds and for accounting in the proof of use here via Amt24 or directly via the SAB programme page.

Application processing at the SAB: approx. six weeks

• Application: at the latest eight weeks before the start of training
• Commencement of the project: on presentation of the award notification or the SAB's approval of an early commencement (the conclusion of a qualification contract does not count as commencement)
• Submission of proof of use to the SAB: no later than one month after the end of the funding period
