Maximum amount
for residential buildings:
- EUR 60,000 for energy-related renovation measures per residential unit
- EUR 5,000 for construction supervision for single- and two-family houses
- EUR 2,000 for construction supervision for multi-family houses with three or more residential units, maximum EUR 20,000 per funding decision
for non-residential buildings:
- EUR 1,000 per square metre of net floor area for refurbishment measures, maximum EUR 15 million
- EUR 5.00 per square metre of net floor area for construction supervision, maximum EUR 20,000 per award notice

The subsidised buildings must be used for their intended purpose for at least ten years.
Eligible applicants
- Private individuals and homeowners' associations
- freelance professionals
- Municipal regional authorities, municipal associations of municipalities and special-purpose associations, as well as legally dependent proprietary enterprises of municipal regional authorities, insofar as they act for the purpose of providing services of general interest
- Corporations and institutions under public law, e.g. chambers of commerce or associations
- non-profit organisations, including churches
- Enterprises, including sole traders and municipal enterprises
- other legal entities under private law, including housing cooperatives
Excluded from this funding
- Subsequent financing of projects that have already been started or completed
Note: Eligibility applies to owners, tenants or lessees of the land, part of the land, building or part of the building on or in which the measure is to be implemented, as well as to contractors.
Energy efficiency experts
In the case of individual measures on the building envelope and systems engineering, an energy efficiency expert must be involved.
Submitting an application without involving an energy efficiency expert
- Submit an application via the electronic application form before concluding a contract and commissioning services.
- Cost estimates for the eligible services should already be available.
- You can then start the measure at your own financial risk.
- The sum of the stated costs is the basis for the funding decision.
Application with the involvement of an energy efficiency expert
- Contact an energy efficiency expert. He or she will prepare a technical project description.
- If everything is correct, you will be given the opportunity to submit your application electronically.
Note: The grant will be paid out after positive completion of the review of the proof of use.
- Application: before the start of the project
- Submission of proof of use: no later than six months after the end of the funding period
- Operational implementation of the measure: As a rule, 24 months after the award of the grant
- Maximum approval period for individual measures: 48 months
