In many cities and municipalities, you can apply for a special allowance after the birth of a child. It is not infrequently tied to the fact that you can provide evidence of the preventive medical examinations for your baby. These examinations bring paediatricians into the system and make them aware of any abnormalities.

The welcome gift is intended to be used for a special purchase and thus also for the benefit of the child. It is not intended as a subsidy for the costs of day-to-day living. It is a voluntary benefit; please ask your city or municipal administration for the amount.
