If you run a craft business or a care service company, you can apply for a parking permit ("Handwerker-Parkausweis"). This allows you to park in certain areas for the duration of your work assignment.
Vehicles belonging to a craft business or a care service company can receive a parking authorisation from the responsible authority. This may, for example, entitle you to park free of charge in restricted no-parking zones, residents' parking zones or parking space management zones (parking spaces with parking meters or parking ticket machines). The exemption authorisation is only valid for certain individual activities of the company and only if the task cannot otherwise be carried out or can only be carried out with excessive difficulty.
Please note the exact content of the exemption authorisation. When using the exemption authorisation, other persons in particular must not be endangered or hindered.
Note: There is no entitlement to the issue of the parking authorisation.
The documents to be submitted vary from authority to authority.
For example, you must submit
- Copy of the business registration,
- Proof of entry in the trade register or extract from the commercial register,
- Copy of the vehicle licence,
- Confirmation of order (for external companies),
- Certificate from the company regarding business use of the private vehicle.
- Exemption authorisation: EUR 10.20 to EUR 767.00
The amount of the fee varies depending on the number of vehicles, the period of validity of the parking authorisation and its area of validity.
Depending on the regulations of the respective authority, you can submit your application in writing or online (see -> Online application).
