As the operator of a water supply system, you are obliged to report this. Furthermore, as the operator of a building water supply system, you are obliged to report a non-drinking water system operated in the same building.
In order to ensure drinking water quality, the water for drinking water supply must be analysed for impurities at regular intervals.
To determine the necessary tests and test intervals, you must report the (re)commissioning, construction, significant structural / operational changes or transfer of ownership of water supply systems to your responsible health authority.
Depending on the regulations of the respective health authority, you can report your application in writing or online (see -> Online application). You can also obtain existing forms via Amt24 or via the authority's own website.

Notes:
- If you only become aware of a circumstance requiring notification after the 4-week period, it is sufficient to notify us immediately after becoming aware of it.

Following the report, the responsible health authority will contact you regarding an on-site inspection. Fees will be charged for the inspection.
