As a professionally qualified person, you have special questions and individual requirements that you should clarify before starting a course of study.
In order to be admitted to a university, it is generally necessary to have a school-leaving qualification. However, even professionally qualified students who have neither the Abitur nor the Fachhochschulreife can, under certain circumstances, study at a university of applied sciences or university. You should therefore find out in advance from the university of your choice what the requirements are for admission to the desired course of study.
Contact the university you have chosen. They will check whether you meet the admission requirements and decide on your university entrance qualification. Two in-depth consultations are mandatory before submitting an application: firstly, a general consultation with the Central Student Advisory Service and secondly, a course-specific consultation with the relevant academic advisors - depending on the course of study.
The purpose of the interviews is to provide early and comprehensive advice on the content, requirements and structure of a degree course. You will receive written proof of your participation in a counseling interview. After the counseling interview, you apply in writing or online to the respective university.
