EVS provides households with a 120-liter organic waste garbage can for organic waste, which is emptied every 14 days. The fee for this is 58.00 euros per year. This includes organic waste from the kitchen (e.g. bread and pastry scraps, egg shells, fruit waste), organic waste from the garden (e.g. potting soil, flower waste, weeds) but also so-called "other organic waste" (e.g. small animal bedding, sawdust).

The disposal of biowaste is the responsibility of the public waste disposal authorities (municipalities and EVS).
