§ Section 68 (1) Bodies for instruction in immediate life-saving measures and training in first aidTraining in first aid - Driving License Ordinance (FeV)

Recognition as a center for first aid training in accordance with § 68 FeV gives you the opportunity to teach in Saarland once the approval procedure has been completed. Recognition must be renewed every three years.

Anyone wishing to provide first aid training for the acquisition of a driver's licenserequires official recognition.

Bodies that provide first aid training for the acquisition of a driver's license,require official recognition.

• Police clearance certificate (as proof of the applicant's reliability)
• Proof of qualification as an instructor in the field of first aid (e.g. proof of seminars that demonstrate professional (48 units) and pedagogical (56 units of instructor training) aptitude). These two training courses must be "refreshed" every 3 years
• Usage agreement (rental contract) for the training room (with sketch of size and layout, at least 50m² floor space)
• Proof/copy of the liability insurance contract which includes first aid training

• Contract for the accompanying specialist supervision by a doctor (doctors with a certificate of competence in rescue services or additional qualification in rescue medicine or comparable qualifications are suitable. Furthermore, the doctors must have in-depth knowledge of the recommendations for first aid issued by the German Advisory Council for First Aid and Resuscitation at the German Medical Association. Doctors with a comparable qualification are specialists in anesthesia. The doctor is responsible for the medical content of the training).

• Blank copy of a list of participants designed by you

• Blank certificate of participation designed by you

• Training plan on the content and scope, i.e. the conceptual design of the training (set of slides)
• Curriculum/schedule with time allocation of the individual training blocks including breaks (9 units of 45 minutes each according to § 19 para. 1 FeV = 405 minutes + breaks)
• Proof of training in the rescue service (voluntary training is also possible), plus proof of experience (at least 3 years)
• We require the training certificates to be submitted as originals (these will be returned immediately) or as certified copies
• Proof of ownership of an AED demo or training device (e.g. invoice and picture)
• Proof of possession of two manikins (training device for resuscitation 2 per training course)
• Motorcycle helmet
• It is assumed that other materials such as replaceable face masks/mouthpieces, triangular cloths, bandage packs, spare lungs, etc. are available for each participant up to the maximum number of participants of 15 persons or 20 persons with an assistant instructor.

Proof of equipment and training material is provided by submitting invoices and pictures, which must be enclosed with the application.

Prerequisites

There are no facts that would make the applicant (in the case of legal entities, thepersons authorized to represent them by law or the articles of association) and thetraining personnel for first aid training appear to be unreliablefor first aid training.

The qualification of the training personnel is proven.

Suitable training rooms and the necessary teaching materials for theoreticalfor theoretical instruction and practical exercises are available.

Recognition may be limited in time and subject to conditions (in particular with regard to thetraining of the persons involved in the training).

The fee in accordance with No. 214.3 of the scale of fees for road traffic measures(GebOSt) amounts to between 51.10 and 511.00 euros.

Depending on the submission of all required documents, the processing time is approx. 4 weeks.

Additionally/ It is also possible to be recognized by the VBG (employers' liability insurance association), according to their specifications, as a first aid training centre.

Before submitting an application, it is recommended to with the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Women and Health.

Only after all the required documents have been submitted will theexamination.

Official recognition is only valid for the territory of the federal state of Saarland.
