Registrierung eines Futtermittelunternehmens beantragen

If you wish to operate a company for the production, manufacture, processing, storage, transportation or distribution of animal feed, you must register it.

All feed businesses that are involved in the production, manufacture, processing, storage, transportation or processing stages of feed, from production to placing on the market, must be registered with the competent authority.

The aim of this measure is to ensure a high level of protection for human and animal health and the environment throughout Europe.

When registering feed businesses, you must report the activities of the operator and the individual operating sites to the competent authority. In the case of activities requiring approval, the feed company must also be approved.

If the company is registered, this is published in a nationwide directory.

No documents required.

There are no costs.

If you want to register a feed company, the procedure is as follows:

• The documents you submit will be examined
• The activity of the company to be registered is checked
• The company is then registered for the intended activity
• An official certificate is issued and sent out

Finally, the company is entered in the nationwide register of feed businesses

Lawsuit

• Feed businesses and feed business operators must register with the competent authority if they are active in the following areas: Production, processing, storage, transportation or distribution of feed
• Certain activities must be notified or approved
• Exceptions apply to certain agricultural businesses
