If you require information about the owner of a vehicle and the vehicle data, you can apply for vehicle register information under certain circumstances.

This vehicle data may include the following information:

• Surname
• First name
• Order and stage name
• Address
• Type, manufacturer and type of vehicle
• Name and address of the insurance company
• Number of the insurance policy or number of the insurance confirmation
• If applicable, date of termination of the insurance relationship
• If applicable, exemption from the statutory insurance obligation
• Date of allocation or issue of the license plate to the holder
• License plate number

Please note that the data transmitted may vary depending on the reason for the request and that further data may be added.

• Identity card or passport (copy)
• Application form

As a private individual or private company, you can apply for simple information.

You can apply for simple register information for the following reasons:

• Legal claims in connection with participation in road traffic
• Private actions for road traffic violations

• You submit the application in writing or online.
• Once the application has been received, the Federal Motor Transport Authority checks the application and issues the information.
• The information will be sent to you by post.

• Information on vehicle and owner data as well as data on main and safety inspections
• Application online or by post
