You can apply for grants for projects in the area of "Innovation and knowledge transfer in the fisheries sector" as part of the "Fisheries and aquaculture state program".
What is funded?
- Research and development as well as pilot projects to solve scientific, technical and organizational problems in fisheries,
- the development of knowledge for and the targeted transfer of knowledge to the fisheries sector as well as cooperation between science and fisheries,
- studies on the environmental impact of fisheries as well as research, development and pilot projects to improve the ecological sustainability of fisheries,
- the improvement of the fisheries sector's own organization to promote communication and the dissemination of knowledge within the sector.
The relevant project selection criteria are applied to all funding applications received. Each project is awarded points and must reach a defined threshold in order to be eligible for funding. If the volume of applications submitted exceeds the available budget, the respective number of points determines eligibility for funding.

- the development of knowledge for and the targeted transfer of knowledge to the fisheries sector as well as cooperation between science and fisheries,
- studies on the environmental impact of fishing as well as research, development and pilot projects to improve the ecological sustainability of fishing,
- Associations of commercial fishermen or recognized producer organizations, where appropriate in partnership with recognized scientific or technical institutions, where support is requested for the improvement of the fisheries sector's own organization to promote communication and the dissemination of knowledge within the sector.
