The Prime Minister or/and the Federal President congratulate on special anniversaries.

The Minister-President congratulates married couples

• on their golden wedding anniversary (50 years of marriage),
• Diamond wedding anniversaries (60 years of marriage),
• the Iron Wedding Anniversary (65 years of marriage),
• the wedding of grace (70th wedding anniversary)
• and crown jewel weddings (75th wedding anniversary)

as well as those celebrating their 90th and 100th anniversaries and every other year of life with a certificate.

The Federal President congratulates them on their 100th, 105th and every subsequent birthday as well as on the occasion of their 65th, 70th and 75th wedding anniversaries.

Preparations for celebrating anniversaries of old age and marriage are made by the municipality in which the couple or the person celebrating their anniversary resides. The certificate is drawn up on the basis of the population register by virtue of office. The State Chancellery is responsible for issuing the certificate presented by the Prime Minister, while the Federal Office of Administration is responsible for the certificate presented by the Federal President.

There is therefore no need for you as a citizen to take action.
