If the boundary of a property is not clear, the property owner can apply for the boundary to be drawn up.
The real estate cadastre contains a state-wide and up-to-date record of all land and buildings of significance under real estate law in Schleswig-Holstein. Together with the land register, it guarantees the security of ownership of the land and gives it marketability and creditworthiness.
If the boundary of your property is unclear and/or the boundary markers (e.g. boundary stones) are missing, you can have the binding boundary points for your property that are recorded in the real estate cadastre transferred to the local area by means of a boundary survey. If you wish, the boundary points created in this way can also be permanently marked in the locality by boundary markers.
A boundary is established at the request of the owner of the property concerned.
Fees are charged for the establishment of boundaries in accordance with the State Ordinance on Fees of the State Office for Surveying and Geoinformation Schleswig-Holstein (VermGebVO).
