The building inspectorate monitors compliance with regulations, for example during the construction, modification or removal of facilities.
In accordance with Section 58 (2) of the State Building Regulations for Schleswig-Holstein (LBO), the building supervisory authorities must
- construction,
- alteration,
- change of use,
- removal,
- use and
- maintenance
of installations to ensure that the regulations under public law and the orders issued on the basis of these regulations are complied with. They must take the necessary measures at their own discretion.
