Gesellenprüfung: Teil 1

The journeyman's examination part 1 is part of the extended journeyman's examination and is taken during the training period.

In the case of journeyman training with a two-part journeyman's examination (so-called extended journeyman's examination), the first partial examination takes place after part of the training period has been completed, at a time interval from the second partial examination.
The traditional intermediate examination is not required for this type of examination.

The journeyman's examination part 1 cannot be contested independently and cannot be repeated independently before taking part 2.

The result of the journeyman's examination part 1 is communicated to the candidate in writing.

The examination is free of charge for trainees (apprentices).

Trainees must be released from work to take examinations. Trainees will continue to receive their training allowance for the time they are released from work.
