If the original approval (determination) is to be amended or revoked, this must also be approved.

Events within the meaning of the Industrial Code (GewO) are trade fairs, exhibitions, public festivals and markets (wholesale market, weekly market, funfair, special market).

At the request of the organizer, the competent authority is obliged to determine the subject, time (period), location and opening hours of the event. With the determination, you as the organizer may hold the event, but are also obliged to hold it. Certain special regulations (so-called market privileges) are associated with the determination, such as changes to the provisions of the Shop Opening Act and the Public Holidays Act.

In the public interest, for example if it serves to protect event participants from danger or public safety, the establishment or amendment of an establishment can be linked to conditions.

In urgent cases, the competent authority may temporarily regulate the time, opening hours and/or location of the event in deviation from the regulations.

If the organizer applies for a change or revocation of the regulations, the competent authority must approve this. However, the regulation of a weekly market, funfair or public festival may only be revoked if the organizer cannot reasonably be expected to hold the event.

A change to the event determination can be applied for by submitting an informal application with reasons. Following a decision by the authority, an amendment notice will be issued.

The fee for changing the fixing of an event is € 70.00.

The authorities must be notified in good time of any changes to event regulations.

The issuing of regulations to maintain public safety or order at events is reserved to the federal states.

To the municipal, local or city administration (public order office) in whose district the event is taking place.
