Sonn- und Feiertagsfahrverbot: Ausnahmegenehmigung beantragen

On Sundays and public holidays, trucks with a maximum permissible mass of more than 7.5 tons and trailers behind trucks are not permitted to drive between midnight and 10 pm. This ban does not apply to certain goods (e.g. various perishable foodstuffs).

Furthermore, an exemption may be granted under certain conditions, e.g. for

• live animals
• cut flowers and live plants
• agricultural products during their harvest period, provided they are not already exempt
• equipment and exhibits as well as foodstuffs for trade fairs, exhibitions, markets, public festivals, cultural or sporting events
• journeys by vintage trucks to trade fairs, exhibitions, markets, public festivals, cultural and sporting events
• Newspapers and magazines with a publication date on a Sunday or public holiday or the following day
• Goods for the timely loading or unloading of sea-going vessels or aircraft, provided that it is proven that the use of a specific ship or flight connection or an immediate connecting transport on Sundays or public holidays by road is urgently required for reasons of public welfare or in the interest of the applicant
• relief supplies in or for crisis and/or emergency regions
• Empty runs and return transports in connection with the aforementioned journeys

• Written application with justification, in particular the urgency, and proof of the necessity of transportation during the ban period using the requested means of transport
• if a permanent exemption permit has been applied for, proof of the need for regular transportation during the period of prohibition, e.g. a certificate of urgency from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce
• the vehicle registration certificate or the registration certificate part 1; for foreign vehicles in whose registration documents the maximum permissible mass is not entered, a corresponding official certificate
• in the case of the loading and unloading of sea-going vessels and aircraft as well as journeys for which an urgency must first be checked: Proof of the necessity of transportation during the prohibition period with the requested means of transport

The fee is between EUR 10.20 and EUR 767.00 and depends on the scope of the permit issued in accordance with the scale of fees for road traffic measures.
