Ehrung eines Ehe- oder Altersjubiläums beantragen

The independent cities, large cities belonging to counties, boroughs and municipalities with no official offices can apply for the honoring of a marriage and old age anniversary by the Prime Minister.

On behalf of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a congratulatory card from the Prime Minister will be sent to married couples registered in the municipalities with permanent main residence.

• Married couples on the 50th, 60th, 70th, 75th anniversary of their wedding day, provided that the marriage was uninterrupted until the respective anniversary. If divorce proceedings are pending on the anniversary date, the requirement is not met.
• Old-age anniversaries upon completion of 90th, 95th, 100th, and each subsequent year of life thereafter.

In the case of 60th, 65th, 70th and 75th anniversaries of marriage and with the completion of the 100th year of life and thereafter every further year of life, a monetary gift in the amount of EUR 50.00 is presented in addition to the congratulatory certificate.

• Marriage anniversary: return of the 50th, 60th, 70th, 75th wedding anniversary.
• Anniversary of old age: reaching the age of 90, 95, 100 and every year thereafter.

There are no costs for the citizens.

The independent and large cities, the administrative districts and the municipalities with no administrative district determine upcoming anniversaries in good time (in the case of old-age anniversaries on the basis of the civil register; in the case of marriage anniversaries on the basis of the information on civil status based on civil status confirmations). They check whether the requirements for an honor have been met.

The independent and large cities, the boroughs and the municipalities then apply to the State Office for Internal Administration for the honoring of a marriage and old age anniversary.

The congratulatory certificates and, if applicable, the monetary gifts are regularly presented to the jubilarians in their homes on the day of honor by the district administrator or the mayor or by their representatives in person. Congratulatory certificates and monetary gifts are forwarded to the district administrators and lord mayors.

Approximately 4 to 8 weeks depending on the processing time of each job.

Applications must be submitted to the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Office for Internal Administration (LAiV) no later than six weeks before the anniversary date.

On special anniversaries of age and marriage, the Prime Minister congratulates.
