The financial support serves to ensure the utilization, protection and recreational function of the forest, its increase and the improvement of production, working and sales conditions in the forestry industry.

Object of the grant

• Close-to-nature forest management: forest structure data collection, site mapping, long-term conversion, conversion, cultivation, young growth and young stand maintenance
• Forestry infrastructure: expansion, basic maintenance and reinforcement of forestry roads
• Forestry associations: Forest maintenance contracts, coordination of timber supply by forestry associations, professionalization of associations
• Initial afforestation
• Coping with extreme weather events: Pole protection, processing of residual wood, debarking, transportation from the forest, storage areas, reforestation, reworking, cultivation, stock and soil-conserving removal and felling of calamity wood

Measures on areas that have been transferred free of charge for the purpose of nature conservation are not eligible for funding.

Who is eligible for funding?

• Natural and legal persons under private and public law as owners of agricultural or forestry land in M-V
• Recognized forestry associations
• Exclusion of federal and state funding

How is funding provided?

• Grant, amount according to annex ForstGAKFöRL

If the natural or legal person submitting the application does not own the beneficiary area in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, they must submit a declaration of consent from the owner for the duration of the earmarking period of the measure applied for.

The de minimis limits according to No. 5.2.2 ForstGAKFöRL are between EUR 100.00 and EUR 1,000.00 per application.
