The aim is to promote the integration and equal participation of migrants in all areas of life and their active participation in social life as well as to promote the coexistence of people of different cultural and religious backgrounds and affiliations.
Object of the grant
Funding is provided for needs-based, regional and sustainable projects within the meaning of Section 45 (1) of the Residence Act, in particular
- Projects for migration-specific counseling, including psychosocial counseling, which supplement existing structures for initial migration counseling
- Projects to improve communication, understanding and social integration
- Projects to strengthen the participation of migrants and support migrant associations and initiatives in the development of self-help programs and their increased involvement in civic engagement
Beneficiaries
Non-profit, legally responsible associations, federations and organizations with a registered office or at least a permanent branch in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Type and scope, amount of the grant
The grants are awarded as non-repayable subsidies within the framework of project funding as proportional financing after coordination with other funding bodies in the amount of up to 80 percent of the eligible expenditure.

The need for the project should be confirmed by the administrative district or independent city on whose territory the project is being carried out.
For projects providing migration-specific advice and for language and vocational integration, staff must be qualified as
- social education workers or social pedagogues or
- social workers with state recognition or
- proof of an equivalent educational qualification
is required.
Applications for a grant for the coming year must be submitted in writing to the State Office for Health and Social Affairs using the application form provided.
Approval is granted by means of a grant notification; the granting authority is the State Office for Health and Social Affairs.
