The state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern awards grants for the implementation of the Voluntary Social Year with the aim of promoting social commitment and increasing the individual career or study choice competence of young people up to the age of 27.
The object of the funding is projects to carry out the Voluntary Social Year in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the areas of youth welfare, monument preservation, culture, democracy, refugee work or sport or in youth education and overnight accommodation facilities in accordance with the regulations of the Youth Voluntary Service Act (hereinafter referred to as JFDG).

Grants are awarded on condition that the recipient of the grant is approved as an FSJ organization in accordance with the provisions of the JFDG in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and that the provisions of the JFDG are complied with during the implementation of the project.
The formal application must be submitted to the granting authority using the templates.
The grant is approved for the duration of an FSJ by written notification.
