If you have concluded a land lease agreement, you must report this to the competent authority within one month.
As the lessor of agricultural land, you must notify the competent authority of the conclusion of a land lease agreement. As a tenant, you can also notify the competent authority.
If the competent authority finds the following conditions during the inspection, it can object to and cancel the land lease agreement:
- the land lease agreement concluded leads to an unhealthy distribution of land, in particular an accumulation of land,
- this results in uneconomic fragmentation or
- the lease price is unreasonably high.

You can notify the competent authority of the conclusion of a land lease agreement. If you have concluded a land lease agreement verbally, you must notify the authority by means of a written notification. You submit a copy of a written land lease agreement.
Once the land lease agreement has been notified, the competent authority registers the basic data and checks whether there is an unhealthy distribution, in particular an accumulation, an uneconomic fragmentation or whether the lease price is unreasonably high.
The authority in whose district the lessor's farm is located has local jurisdiction. If there is no such farmstead, the authority in whose district all or most of the leased land is located is responsible.
Therefore, when searching for the competent authority, enter the place (district) in which the farmstead or the leased land is located.
The processing period is one month. If the examination of the land lease is expected to take longer, the contracting parties will be issued with an interim notice before the deadline expires, which will extend the deadline to two months.
The land lease is deemed not to have been objected to if the deadline expires without the contracting parties having been notified of a notice of objection.
The decision on the objection to a land lease agreement must be made in writing within one month of notification of the conclusion of the agreement. If the examination of the land lease is likely to take longer, the parties to the contract must be issued with an interim decision before the deadline expires, which extends the deadline to two months.
