If you have examinations carried out in your livestock for the prevention or control of animal diseases, you can apply for aid under certain conditions.
You can apply for aid for the consulting services of animal health services.

What is supported?

Aid for examinations for the prevention or control of animal diseases.

The examinations may be ordered by your veterinary office or may be required by law or by an animal health program. You may also apply for aid for consulting services provided by animal health services.

The subsidies are voluntary services provided by the Animal Health Insurance Fund.

Who is eligible for aid?

• People who own livestock.

How is aid paid?

Payment is made after all requirements are checked by the Animal Diseases Fund.

You must have duly registered your livestock with the Tierseuchenkasse by the deadline of 03.01. of a year.

You have paid the annual contribution to the Tierseuchenkasse on time.

You have registered a newly kept animal species and animal purchases in the current year in due time.

• For the costs of sampling by your farm veterinarian and for the provision of samples by the Qualitätsprüfungs- und Dienstleistungsgesellschaft mbH Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (MQD), a subsidy is paid within the framework of the aid, which does not have to cover the full costs.
• No costs are charged for processing the application. Information can be obtained from the Tierseuchenkasse von M-V.

If you keep livestock for which eligible examinations can be carried out, you will receive an application for aid in December of each year together with the official animal count registration form for the following year.

You can submit the application for aid online via the web portal of the Tierseuchenkasse or in writing to the registration office of the Tierseuchenkasse in Cottbus.

The aid will be paid out

• for sampling by the veterinarian,
• the laboratory diagnostic tests at the State Office for Agriculture, Food Safety and Fisheries M-V (LALLF) and
• the milk sample provision by the MQD

due to the exchange of data between the Tierseuchenkasse and the institutions as a subsidy directly to the respective service provider.

You must pay for subsidies such as:

• Vaccination measures,
• tuberculinizations or
• TSE resistance breeding

submit the relevant documents to the Animal Diseases Fund within 90 days of the implementation of the respective measure.

You must submit the aid application for the advisory services provided by the animal health services to the Animal Diseases Fund within 90 days of the invoice date for the proposed services (de minimis application).

You must submit the following documents with the de minimis application:

• De-minimis statement,
• Examination results,
• Invoice receipts
• Proof of payment.

• 2 to 4 months after the implementation of the eligible measure or after the submission of the invoices to the Animal Diseases Fund.

• Submission of the required documents within 90 days after the implementation of the measure, respectively
• 90 days after receipt of invoices

Farm animals for which aid is paid must have been kept in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania at the time of the eligible measures and a contribution for the animals must have been paid to the Tierseuchenkasse.

Animals kept in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for which a contribution to the Tierseuchenkasse is paid in another federal state or another Member State do not receive aid from the Tierseuchenkasse.
